HAIDER ACKERMANN ARCHIVE & AVANT-GARDE TAILORING

Haider Ackermann launched his own label in 2001 and presented his first womenswear collection in Paris for Autumn/Winter 2002–03. His work became known for fluid draping, elongated proportions, layered construction and a distinctive balance between sharp tailoring and softer, asymmetric forms.

At Sundaynightmare, selected Haider Ackermann archive pieces are presented alongside contemporary and vintage designer fashion from different eras. The selection focuses on tailored jackets, draped garments, layered silhouettes and pieces that reflect the designer’s approach to proportion, fabric and construction.
